Furthermore, nature brings about unnatural aspects causing greater control of forces in nature, and outside of the natural realm. ![]() It is a way of acknowledging and expressing appreciation for the people, experiences, and possessions that bring joy, fulfillment, and meaning to our lives. Throughout Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude by Ross Gay, Gay shows how nature controls emotional responses, forces and other higher or more powerful things. He is the author of the collections Against Which, Bringing the Shovel Down, and most recently Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude ( Pitt Poetry Series, 2015). A catalog of unabashed gratitude is a collection of all the things that we are grateful for in our lives. Ross Gay is a gardener and teacher living in Bloomington, Indiana.
